Down here, the sky cries bitter tears.
Strips clean down to jagged bones of the valley.
Earth turns her soil sour colors,
Exposes veins and arteries,
Swelling as the sky grows closer still.
Somewhere above the steam,
Bold blue mountains furrow brows.
Smells of sulphur rise,
Creek storm surge and carnage
Vomiting toxins and gases, turns over a broken back.
Boulder eyes rolled backward
Fixed on convulsing currents slammed upon them.
Instantaneously, shattered glass.
